Privacy

Last updated: 23 July 2026

This policy explains what personal data Modul Development ("we", "us", "our") collects when you buy from or interact with our webstore at modul-development.tebex.io, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

We do not process your payment. Tebex Limited is the merchant of record for our Store and handles checkout, payment data and card details independently of us. We never receive or store your card number. Tebex's own privacy policy governs that part of the transaction — please read it alongside this one.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Modul Development LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, is the data controller for the data described in this policy.

Contact: support@getmodul.app, or open a ticket in our Discord server. A postal contact address is being established and will be published here once it is available; until then, please use the email address above for any privacy request.

Tebex is a separate controller for the payment data it collects at checkout.

2. Where your data comes from

  • From Tebex, when you complete a purchase.
  • From you directly, when you contact us for support by email or Discord.
  • From Cfx.re, in connection with granting purchased assets to your Cfx.re account.

3. What we collect and why

Purchase data (received from Tebex)

  • Your email address — to deliver the product, provide support, and contact you about the purchase.
  • Transaction ID, package purchased, amount and date — to verify licences, handle support requests, and process refunds.
  • Country and, where provided, IP address — for tax handling and fraud prevention.
  • Your Cfx.re account identifier, supplied at checkout — this is necessary to grant the purchased asset to the correct account. Without it we cannot deliver your purchase.

Support data

Support is provided through a ticket system in our Discord server, operated by a ticket bot that we built and run ourselves. When you open a ticket we process:

  • Your Discord username and user ID.
  • The contents of your ticket, and anything you send us to diagnose a problem — screenshots, server console logs, configuration files.
  • A transcript of the ticket, retained after it is closed so we can refer back to earlier issues.

We do not use a third-party helpdesk provider; ticket transcripts are stored on infrastructure we control. Discord itself processes your messages under its own privacy policy while the conversation takes place.

Server logs you send us may contain other players' identifiers. Please remove anything that is not needed to solve your problem before sending it.

What we do not collect

Our products do not contact us while they run. Licensing is handled entirely by the Cfx.re asset escrow system, so we do not receive your server's IP address, player data, or any telemetry from the products you have installed.

4. Our legal bases (UK/EU GDPR)

We are based in the United States, but we sell to customers worldwide. Where the UK or EU GDPR applies to you, these are the legal bases we rely on:

  • Performance of a contract — delivering the product you bought and providing support for it.
  • Legitimate interests — preventing fraud, enforcing our licences, protecting our intellectual property, and keeping records of disputes. We have considered your rights and do not believe this processing overrides them.
  • Legal obligation — keeping transaction records where tax or accounting law requires it.
  • Consent — where you have asked to receive updates or announcements. You can withdraw consent at any time.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Tebex — as merchant of record and store platform.
  • Cfx.re — to grant purchased assets to your account through the Cfx.re asset escrow system.
  • Discord — if you choose to contact us there, your messages are processed by Discord under their own privacy policy.
  • Authorities or advisers — where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

We do not use a third-party helpdesk, CRM or analytics provider. Our support ticket system is our own.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United States, so if you are outside the US your data will be transferred to and processed there. US law does not provide the same level of data protection as UK or EU law. Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, we and our providers rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep it

  • Purchase and licence records — for as long as the licence is valid, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally 7 years).
  • Support conversations — up to 24 months after the conversation ends, so we can refer back to earlier issues.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
  • Have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Have your data deleted, where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it. Note that we generally cannot delete transaction records we are legally required to retain, and deleting your licence record may end your access to the product.
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent, where consent is the basis we rely on.

To exercise any of these, email support@getmodul.app. We will respond within one month. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If you are unhappy with our response and the UK or EU GDPR applies to you, you can complain to your local supervisory authority — in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

9. Cookies

Our storefront is hosted by Tebex, which sets the cookies necessary to keep your basket and session working. We do not add our own analytics or advertising cookies to the Store.

10. Children

Our Store is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold, including limiting access to it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to us.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page, with the date at the top. Material changes will be announced through our Store or Discord.
